Swim and Spa
We are proud to announce the re-opening of the refurbished swimming pool area. 'Park Drive Swim and Spa'
The pool is 15.75 metres long by 7.5 metres wide and has a constant depth of 1.2m. We try to keep it heated to 30 degrees, winter and summer, making it ideal for serious swimmers as well as those not so confident.
Refurbishment Details
New porcelain stone tiles have been laid throughout, a new roof has been installed above the lounge area with a new disabled/family changing 'wet room' with a toilet and hand basin.
2 x shower and change rooms with an additional 2 x changing rooms near the brand new hot tub. New heat exchange equipment has been installed along with fresh furniture so you can relax with some calming music before/during/after your swim.
The pool was drained and refilled with purified water (only the best for Park Drive Members and Guests).
Park Drive Pool

Why Exercise in Water?
- More key muscles groups are used in swimming than in other sports
- It improves flexibility, strength and circulation
- It improves the ability to control and maintain a healthy weight
- Injury is less likely due to the support of the water with no pounding or jarring the joints
- Water is 800 times denser than air so it requires more effort to move through it
- Being submerged creates a private environment to exercise in
- Water can be as heavy as you want it to be making it an excellent piece of fitness equipment
Please note that the pool must be vacated at least 1 hour before the club closes each evening.
Lane Booking System
Due to the success of our lane booking system we have decided to continue on with this process from 06:00 - 13:00 weekdays and 07:30 - 10:00 weekends. Members are able to book online or call the club on 01621 770836 to book their preferred time and lane up to 2 weeks in advance.
Family swim sessions are available after 13:00 weekdays and after 10:00 weekends.
Swimming Lessons
We operate a term time only swim school, Monday – Friday from 3.30pm – 6.30pm and follow the STA International Learn to Swim Programme.
This is a series of levels and awards that help develop water confidence, skills, and techniques of the 4 swimming strokes. Our lessons cater for all ages and abilities from babies to adults.

Pool opening times
Lane swimming is adult only and is bookable via the sporty HQ app (sessions in 45 minute blocks).
Open swim is non bookable (no lane ropes).
Please review park fitness timetable to see times for aqua classes, as the pool will be closed during these sessions.
